In this self-portrait, I'm photographed contorting myself into a tight hold, inspired by Michelangelo's captives where body melds into material and back again. I'm fascinated by becoming bound and broken by the glass. Drips of wax ooze down my body, recalling both ritual's end and intimate aftermath.
